Vice President Kashim Shettima and President Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, have landed in the United Kingdom to receive the remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away on Sunday, July 13, at a UK clinic. The high-level delegation is set to accompany Buhari’s body back to Nigeria for burial today, July 14, in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, in line with Islamic traditions.
Their presence underscores the gravity of the national loss and the respect accorded to the late leader, whose legacy shaped Nigeria’s democratic journey.
