Controversial Nigerian social commentator and activist, Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has stirred up a fresh wave of online reactions after issuing a bold warning to nightlife mogul and businessman, Obi Cubana. This comes in the wake of E-Money’s recent release from EFCC custody.
E-Money, whose real name is Emeka Okonkwo, was reportedly arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly abusing the naira and spraying foreign currency at a lavish event. Shortly after his release, VDM took to social media with claims that the EFCC is widening its investigation into influential figures within Nigeria’s elite social circles.
According to VDM, sources have revealed that the anti-graft agency is now interrogating young men in Abuja in a bid to trace links back to Obi Cubana. He advised the businessman to tread carefully, hinting that the EFCC may be planning a broader crackdown on individuals connected to ostentatious displays of wealth.
VDM shared his thoughts in a video, saying: “E-money has been released from EFCC, Obi Cubana, you have to really be careful, especially you Obi Cubana. In short, you are more of a target than E-money. I don’t know how they got to E-money before you, but you are the main target. You know why? Because, especially in this Abuja, a lot of these young boys that they arrest wey EFCC dey carry, they usually ask them that, do you know Obi Cubana? Has he ever transferred money to you? Have you ever gone to his place before? Has he ever transferred money to you? They want to see an establishment, they want to establish that you have done transactions with some of those boys. So you have to really be careful because they are planning you.”
VDM’s cautionary video aimed at Obi Cubana has ignited even more buzz after Cubana Chiefpriest his close associate and former employee subtly co-signed the message by liking the viral clip.
This unexpected move fueled speculation that there may be deeper concerns within the inner circle regarding the EFCC’s next target. Fans and critics alike are now dissecting Chiefpriest’s action, interpreting it as a silent endorsement of VDM’s warning.
His comments have since gone viral, fueling speculations and heated debates online.
