The U.S. State Department has issued a strong warning following the tragic de@th of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot in the neck while addressing a university audience in Utah. According to Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, foreigners in the United States who are caught “praising, justifying, or mocking” Kirk’s de@th online could face serious consequences, including visa actions.
Landau took to X (formerly Twitter), declaring that “foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors to our country”, urging the public to report such posts directly under his announcement. The State Department further emphasized that America would not tolerate the presence of individuals whose activities conflict with U.S. national security interests.
This bold move mirrors past immigration crackdowns, where foreign students and protesters with pro-Palestinian sentiments faced investigations and sanctions under prior administrations. With a nationwide manhunt still underway for Kirk’s shooter, the government is doubling down on its zero-tolerance stance toward those spreading hate or mocking tragedy.
