Popular Nigerian TikToker Olumide Ogunsanwo, known as Sea King, was reportedly re-arrested on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the premises of a magistrate’s court in Ogba, Lagos State.
This recent arrest stems from allegations of cyberbullying against Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), over comments made during a live session in December 2024.
Previously, Sea King had been arrested in December 2024 after posting a video criticizing President Bola Tinubu, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun.
He faced charges of treason, cyberstalking, and inciting public disorder. Although granted bail at ₦500,000 with two sureties, his legal troubles persisted.
During his court appearance for the earlier case, Sea King was re-arrested and initially detained at the Lagos State Police Command in Ikeja before being transferred to Abuja.
Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore confirmed the development, sparking debates about freedom of expression and detainee treatment. The case continues to draw attention as legal proceedings unfold.
