The naira is making headlines again as it showed signs of strength in the parallel market, appreciating to N1,530 per dollar from N1,535 recorded last week.
Meanwhile, the story was slightly different at the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM), where the naira slipped a little to N1,513 per dollar, compared to N1,511.5 the previous week—marking a decline of N1.5.
Fresh data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) confirmed this rate, leaving the gap between the parallel and official market at N17 per dollar, a sharp drop from N23.5 per dollar last week.
