Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, known as Tems, won the Best African Music Performance category at the 67th Grammy Awards with her song Love Me JeJe.
She triumphed over notable contenders, including Yemi Alade, Asake featuring Wizkid, Chris Brown featuring Davido and Lojay, and Burna Boy.
This win marks Tems’ second Grammy. She earned three nominations this year, including Best Global Music Album (Born in the Wild) and Best R&B Song (Burning), bringing her career total to eight nominations.
The ceremony was held at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.
