Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade is on the verge of a sensational move to French D’Arkema giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), marking a huge leap in the career of the 24-year-old Nigerian winger.

Ajibade, who parted ways with Atlético Madrid Femenino in June after her contract expired, has been a standout star in African women’s football—renowned for her blistering pace, sharp creativity, and fearless leadership. Her arrival will make her the second Nigerian at PSG, joining midfield powerhouse Jennifer Echegini, who has already become a key figure for the French champions.

While several MLS clubs were eager to sign her, PSG ultimately won the race, bolstering their attacking firepower ahead of the new season.

Ajibade recently led the Super Falcons to their record 10th Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) title in Morocco, where she was crowned Best Player of the Tournament, underlining her world-class form.

Her signing is expected to add depth, flair, and winning mentality to PSG as they chase both domestic dominance and the elusive UEFA Women’s Champions League crown.
