Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has officially released his final 23-man squad list for the highly anticipated 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
The squad features a solid mix of home-based talents—three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders, and seven forwards.
The Nigerian team is scheduled to jet off to Zanzibar on Thursday, July 24, to intensify preparations ahead of the tournament kickoff on August 2. Drawn into Group D, the Super Eagles will face tough competition against defending champions Senegal, Congo, and Sudan.
Nigeria last featured at CHAN in 2018, where they reached the final but were thrashed 4–0 by Morocco. The 2024 edition was earlier postponed by CAF due to host nation readiness concerns.
