Former Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh has showered praises on Alex Iwobi after the Nigerian midfielder achieved a historic milestone — becoming the first-ever Nigerian player to make 300 Premier League appearances.

Iwobi reached this incredible feat during Fulham’s clash against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park, marking yet another proud moment for Nigerian football. The 29-year-old playmaker kicked off his Premier League journey back in October 2015, when he made his debut for Arsenal against Swansea City.

Since then, Iwobi has enjoyed a stellar career, representing three major English clubs — Arsenal (100 appearances), Everton (123), and Fulham (77) — consistently showcasing his skill, creativity, and resilience on the field.

Celebrating the achievement, football legend Sunday Oliseh took to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, writing: “Congrats Alex! For me, it is a real joy to see this player continue to improve. A true talent.”

Iwobi’s name now stands tall in the history of African football, not just for his longevity but for his unwavering dedication to excellence — proving that hard work, discipline, and talent can take you to legendary heights.
