Rapper Speed Darlington, also known as Darlington Okoye, revealed in a freestyle video that he has been arrested 19 times and detained five times.
He shared this information on his social media.
“5 lockups, 19 arrests, I get game but I no dey hear, when you hear this one, na Kuje,” he raps.
Speed Darlington was detained twice in October and November 2024 for mocking Burna Boy’s connection with American entrepreneur Diddy.
He was held at the Kuje Correctional Facility but released on January 21, 2025, after receiving bail from the Federal High Court. Following his release, Darlington claimed to have narrowly escaped an assassination in Lagos.
His lawyer, Stan Alieke, withdrew from representing him, but Darlington responded indifferently, stating his lawyer could leave if tired of helping.
