Singer Spyro has set social media buzzing with his bold take on the gospel music scene.

During a chat on Hip TV’s Trending, the “Who’s Your Guy” hitmaker claimed most gospel artists today are more about chasing the bag than spreading true spiritual vibes

According to Spyro, the line between gospel and secular music isn’t as clear as people think it’s all business for many.

His honest take has sparked massive reactions, with fans and critics debating the true state of the gospel industry.

He said, “The people that claim to be gospel artists or gospel ministers are just artists -they are in the business to make money just like us in the Afrobeats industry.”

Spyro opened up on the crazy pressure female artists face in the spotlight, applauding Tems for staying real, humble, and classy despite industry temptations.

“There is a lot of pressure on female artists to do crazy things. Tems is holding it down decently yet she is one of the biggest [female artists] in the world right now. She is decent. She has it together.

“Sometimes, I’m just like, how is she able to do this? We should put Tems out there for our young ladies to be looking up to as a role model,” he said.

Spyro, proudly known as “Jesus Boy,” blends faith with music — but his bold new truth bombs are shaking tables and sparking major reactions.
