In a dramatic twist to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing legal saga, a federal judge has confirmed that the music mogul’s sentencing will take place on October 3, 2025, despite both the prosecution and defense initially pushing for an earlier date.

The 55-year-old Bad Boy Entertainment founder was recently convicted on two counts of prostitution-related charges but acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering—a verdict that reportedly earned him a standing ovation from fellow inmates upon returning to his Brooklyn federal jail.

According to attorney Marc Agnifilo, inmates applauded Combs, saying, “We never get to see anyone who beats the government.”

Originally, both parties had proposed September 22 for sentencing. However, the defense later withdrew the request, agreeing to the court’s original October 3 date, which the judge has now officially approved.

Diddy, who has already spent 10 months behind bars, will have that time deducted from his final sentence. Each of the two charges carries a maximum of 10 years, leaving Combs facing up to 20 years in prison.
