Rapper Eminem criticized the Grammy Awards, calling the voting process insincere and influenced by committee favoritism.
Reflecting on the 67th Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles on January 2, 2025, Eminem claimed that nominations for artists like him are used to boost the event’s appeal, while awards often go to less prominent figures.
He expressed frustration, referencing Kanye West’s influence in the industry, and firmly stated he would refuse future Grammy nominations, declaring his rejection would last “100 million years.”
In his words; “That vote is fake as fvck, that is not a real vote, they give it to who they want to give it to. If I lose to fvcking kanye or someone that I’m like okay, I respect that I know who that is, and Kanye has a huge following, he made a massive impact on music, but don’t fvcking get us all here to use your selling point for your fvking show and stiff everybody every single fvking time.
Don’t ever ask me to fvcking come here again, please do not ask me, my answer is No, for 100 million years. Never again will I fvcking go to the Grammy.”
