England and Chelsea star Raheem Sterling faced a horrifying moment on Saturday night when masked burglars broke into his home — but the footballer bravely confronted them with a knife to protect his children.
According to Daily Mail Sport, the incident occurred around 7 p.m., just an hour before Chelsea’s Premier League clash against Wolves. The 30-year-old winger, who has been out of favour at Chelsea this season, was at home with his kids, Thiago (8) and Thai-Cruz (6), when the intruders struck. Thankfully, Sterling and his family escaped unharmed.
A spokesperson confirmed the terrifying break-in, calling it “the ultimate violation of privacy and safety,” but assured fans that everyone is safe. Thames Valley Police have launched a full investigation, urging anyone with information to come forward.
This isn’t the first time Sterling has been targeted — his Cobham home was also robbed during the 2022 World Cup, with over £300,000 in valuables stolen.
Chelsea have since expressed their full support for Sterling and his family during this traumatic time.
