According to the club’s Media Director, Yaksat Maklek, the attack occurred after the match when a group of fans approached Temitope under the pretense of wanting to take photos. However, one of the fans suddenly pulled out a knife and stabbed the player in the neck. 🙅🏽♂️
Temitope, who scored for Plateau United in the game, narrowly escaped with his life. He was rushed to the Federal University Teaching Hospital in Lafia for treatment, and thankfully, he’s now in stable condition. 🙏
