Oluwadolarz, a Nigerian skit maker and musician, has addressed the backlash surrounding his recent music video, which humorously depicted aspects of Muslim fasting and prayer.
The video, intended to highlight the struggles of fasting during Ramadan, was met with criticism from some Muslims who found it disrespectful to their faith.
Many took to social media to express their discontent, urging him to be more mindful of religious sensitivities. In response, Oluwadolarz defended himself, arguing that many of his critics follow religious rules without fully understanding their faith.
“Some Muslims are criticizing me because of the post I made.
It’s unfortunate, but it seems that many Muslims don‘t truly understand their religion; they just follow the rules blindly.” he said
