Popular comic actor Ime Bishop Umoh, aka Okon Lagos, has joined the conversation surrounding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent wave of national rewards — praising the recognition given to the Super Falcons and NYSC members.
In a post shared on his Instagram, Okon called the gesture “commendable,” noting it’s refreshing to see non-politicians rewarded for making Nigeria proud.
But he didn’t stop there. Okon used the moment to make a powerful appeal, urging the presidency to also honour members of the Nigerian Police and Military, especially those risking their lives on the frontlines.
“There has to be a Nigeria first for us all to be Nigerians,” he wrote, stressing the need for equity in national appreciation.
