Odumodublvck, Nigerian rapper and singer, credited Davido and Wizkid for helping him rise to fame. Speaking on the Afrobeats Podcast, he revealed Wizkid was the first major star to promote his music, boosting his recognition in the industry.

The rapper said:

“In Nigeria, Wizkid was the first major artiste to post my music. He posted picanto…Then after I dropped ‘Declan Rice’, he posted the song and there’s also a video of him vibing to the song.”

Odumodublvck credited Wizkid’s post for drawing significant attention to his music, helping him transition from obscurity to fame. His hit song “Declan Rice” gained instant success.

He also acknowledged Davido’s early support, emphasizing how the superstar, despite being a five-time Grammy nominee, chose to uplift him without obligation.

“David (Davido) is someone who helped me when he didn’t need to. So there’s no way I will say anything bad about him even if I have the chance to.” he said

In an interview, Odumodublvck addressed rumors of being upset for not featuring on Wizkid’s album *Morayo*, stating it would be foolish to be angry, especially given Wizkid’s past support. He reflected on his success in 2023, with his album EZIOKWU becoming a major hit. He plans to release a new album, Industry Machine, in 2025.
