Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, Aloy Ejimakor, has revealed that the IPOB leader has been transferred from DSS custody in Abuja to a correctional facility in Sokoto, leaving him far from his lawyers, family, and supporters. Ejimakor shared the update on X, highlighting the difficulty of access for those close to Kanu.
The move comes barely 24 hours after Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja convicted Kanu on terrorism charges and handed him a life imprisonment sentence.
The transfer has sparked reactions online, with supporters expressing outrage and calling for justice and proper legal access for the detained IPOB leader.
