Nigeria’s unstoppable women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, have once again shown why they’re queens of the court! They crushed Cameroon with a stunning 83-47 win in the Afrobasket 2025 quarter-final showdown held at the Palais des Sports de Treichville, Abidjan.
This victory seals D’Tigress’ sixth straight semi-final appearance since 2013 and fuels their hunt for a fifth consecutive Afrobasket crown. The ladies came out blazing, taking the first quarter 21-9, and led 41-29 at halftime. But the real damage came in the third quarter where they outscored Cameroon 25-2, completely locking them out!
Amy Okoronkwo was on fire with 18 points, while Victoria Balogun and Nicole Enabosi added 12 points each to put the game beyond doubt.
