Karimot, the sister of Wunmi and sister-in-law to the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has spoken out emotionally in a video now circulating online firmly denying any involvement in the tragic 2023 death of the beloved artist.
Working as a nurse overseas, Karimot expressed heartbreak and fear, saying she has been unjustly accused and harassed by online users linking her to Mohbad’s passing.
With tears in her eyes, she passionately pleaded with Nigerians to let her live in peace. “I have no hand in Mohbad’s death,” she said, stressing that she’s now living in fear due to constant blame and hateful messages.
The video has reignited conversation around Mohbad’s controversial death, with many urging the public to refrain from witch-hunting and allow investigations to run their course.
Karimot said:
“Nigerians, if you k!ll me, you just want to be w!cked to me. There is nobody to take care of my kids. If my husband marries another woman, she will maltreat my kids. I don’t know anything about Mohbad’s de@th, I was not the nurse that injected him. My de@th is not useful to you. Pls don’t k!ll me. My bl00d will be on you all. Nigerians you are w!cked, What else do you want from me? I have no father or mother. You all have started the narrative that I was the nurse that injected Mohbad. If I was the nurse or if I was ever in the house with them before Mohbad’s demise, may I d!e untimely”
