Spending, a close friend of the late singer Mohbad, has leveled serious allegations against Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, questioning her role in the events that led to his tragic passing.
In a series of Instagram story posts, Spending claimed that Wunmi misrepresented Mohbad’s final moments and acted in a way that raised suspicions.
He recounted the events of September 10, 2023, noting that after Primeboy left Mohbad’s team, only a few people were in the car: Wunmi, Mohbad, their child Liam, Darosha, OG (the driver), and himself.
According to Spending, Wunmi engaged in a heated argument with Mohbad and was seen physically dragging his clothes despite his injuries from a prior performance, further deepening the controversy surrounding his death.
“You kept screaming and cursing Mohbad. Even Darosha tried to intervene. Your argument escalated to the point where you threatened to end Mohbad’s career, just like Lil Frosh’s career was ended by his girlfriend,” he alleged.
Spending dismissed Wunmi’s claims of administering first aid to Mohbad at home, asserting instead that it was their friend Bami who purchased and applied the essential treatment to his wounds.
Spending described the mysterious circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death, revealing that at 11 a.m. the following day, Mohbad had requested a nurse because his regular caregiver was unavailable.
Shortly after leaving the house, Spending was shocked to learn of Mohbad’s death, recalling that he last saw him alive on Monday morning before discovering his lifeless body outside a hospital in Osapa London.
Further intensifying the controversy, Spending questioned Wunmi’s actions during the funeral, particularly why she threw a white item on the coffin, and criticized her for not protecting Mohbad while he was alive.
He also accused her of providing conflicting accounts regarding the nurse’s visit, denying her presence during Mohbad’s third injection, and fabricating a narrative about a fight between Mohbad and Primeboy.
These allegations have deepened public scrutiny and fueled ongoing demands for justice over the singer’s sudden and unexplained death.
