Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah has etched his name into football history by becoming the first player ever to win the PFA Men’s Player of the Year award three times. The Egyptian king, who was unstoppable last season, fired in 29 goals and 18 assists, leading Arne Slot’s Reds to the Premier League title in breathtaking fashion.

At 33, Salah’s brilliance in the 2024/25 campaign saw him dominate the PFA voting, cementing his legendary status in English football. This latest crown comes after he also bagged his third Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year award earlier in the year, equalling yet another record.

Reflecting on his rise from humble beginnings in Egypt, Salah revealed that while he dreamed of being a footballer and providing for his family, he never imagined achieving such global recognition. “When you grow, you start to see things differently and aim for the bigger picture,” he said.

The PFA Team of the Year also featured Salah alongside Liverpool teammates Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, and Milos Kerkez, while Arsenal’s William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Declan Rice also made the cut.
