Mohamed Salah has been crowned the Premier League Player of the Season after an outstanding campaign with Liverpool. The Egyptian forward netted an incredible 28 goals and provided 18 assists, outperforming every other player by five goals.

At 32 years old, Salah is just two assists away from matching the single-season assist record held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne as he heads into Liverpool’s final game against Crystal Palace.

This prestigious award, voted for by the public and football experts, marks Salah’s second time winning the honour, having first secured it in the 2017-18 season.

His victory also ends Manchester City’s four-year streak of dominance. Salah edged out strong contenders like teammate Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, and Arsenal’s Declan Rice.

Earlier this month, Salah also won the Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year award with a historic 90% vote share, highlighting his incredible form this season.
