Emerging singer Womuru Nnedah, known as Miss Eddy, is embracing her musical journey with the release of her debut single, Over.
Raised in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, she was shaped by a culture of audacity, resilience, and self-expression. Now, with this deeply emotional track, Miss Eddy steps into her true calling as an artist, using her powerful voice to connect with listeners and share her story.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind Over, Miss Eddy shared her heartfelt journey.“I feel like I am finally doing what my soul craves. I feel useful to myself as a human being at last. The song was written from a place of pain. It was my first time going through a heartbreak, and I really didn’t want to talk to anyone about it. I had to express those emotions in a song, so I could completely let go.”
Signed to Baatifekori, a media management company, Miss Eddy attributes her unique sound and artistic identity to her upbringing in Port Harcourt. She said, “Just by listening to my song, you can hear the audacity it carries. Port Harcourt teaches you to be outspoken, strong-willed, and unapologetically bold. Those are the qualities that resonate in my music.”
With Over, Miss Eddy is set to make her mark, expressing deep emotions through her music while staying true to her roots.
