Lege Miami has strongly warned social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM), demanding an apology for his remarks about President Bola Tinubu and his son, Seyi Tinubu.
The controversy began after VDM posted a video urging Seyi to represent Nigerian youth at the federal level. He shared his admiration for China’s technological advancements after a brief visit, comparing them to Nigeria’s situation.
However, the video stirred outrage due to his comment about President Tinubu’s age and an unflattering remark about his advisors, prompting backlash and Lege Miami’s demand for an apology. Saying: “Your father is old, and the people around him, their brains are dusty with cobwebs.”
VDM stressed that Seyi Tinubu, being close to power, had a unique opportunity to drive change. He stated: “You are the closest the youth have ever been to power. There are a lot of things you can help us with. Coming to China has opened my eyes to many things we can emulate. Nigeria has so much potential, but the old men can’t see it. You, Seyi Tinubu, can see it.”
Lege Miami, in multiple Instagram videos, criticized VeryDarkMan for his remarks and demanded a public apology for allegedly insulting President Tinubu and his son.
The controversy has fueled online debates, with some supporting VDM’s stance and others backing Lege Miami’s call for respect.
