Prominent Lagos pastor, Paul Adefarasin, has turned himself in to the Lagos State Police Command following the circulation of a viral video showing him wielding what appeared to be a gun-like object while confronting a man who was filming him.
The incident, which allegedly occurred while the pastor was in an unregistered vehicle, stirred public outrage and widespread speculation.
Confirming the development, Lagos Police spokesperson CSP Benjamin Hundeyin revealed that Adefarasin voluntarily presented himself to detectives on Monday, June 17, and is currently undergoing interrogation. Hundeyin assured the public that the outcome of the investigation will be made public in due course.
Meanwhile, Pastor Adefarasin has denied owning or handling any firearm, maintaining that the object seen in the viral footage was not a gun.
