Popular social media influencer Janemena has opened up about a rocky moment in her marriage that almost led to divorce just a year after tying the knot with her husband, Andre Plies.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Janemena revealed that their relationship was shaken in 2019 due to her husband’s disapproval of her closeness with an unnamed friend. Despite Andre’s concerns, she continued the friendship, which escalated the tension and pushed him to seek legal counsel.
According to her, he even tried to negotiate a lower legal fee for the divorce process. In a dramatic twist, Janemena offered to pay the full amount for the lawyer herself. Fortunately, the couple overcame the rift, and she noted that the said friendship has since ended.
She wrote: “The way I keep my life private, nobody knows I and plies had a very serious issue in the first year of our marriage in 2019 that had to do with him telling me to stop being friends with this person and I said “Never”, it got so heated to the point he called his lawyer and said he wanted a divorce, lawyer billed him huge asap and he started asking for discounted price untop divorce and that’s how I shouted from behind, Lawyer, Abeg send your account details, I will send all the money 🤣………
