Businessman Isaac Fayose has publicly called out celebrity socialite Cubana Chiefpriest after a photo surfaced showing the nightlife kingpin kneeling before Vice President Kashim Shettima during a recent meeting.
Taking to Instagram, Fayose didn’t mince words, criticizing what he described as a “display of unnecessary submission.” He pointed out the stark contrast between Chiefpriest’s posture and that of popular fashion designer Seyi Vodi, who recently hosted Shettima in his office without any such dramatics.
Fayose questioned the intent behind Chiefpriest’s gesture, implying that the socialite might be seeking political protection, especially considering how he flaunts wealth with an unverified source.

“Is it humility or desperation?” Fayose asked, sparking online debates over the motives behind such public displays of respect.
The post has since gone viral, with Nigerians divided — some defending the gesture as cultural respect, while others echo Fayose’s sentiment, calling it performative and opportunistic.
