Nigerian rap sensation Odumodublvck isn’t holding back! The “Declan Rice” hitmaker took to X on April 3 to publicly remind Peter Obi, Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, that loyalty is a two-way street.
He expressed frustration that despite going hard for Obi during the elections, the politician hasn’t shown any love for his just-dropped album, “The Machine Is Coming.”
Odumodublvck made it clear — he stood tall for the movement, and now he wants that same energy back. Support your own!
In his initial post, the rapper directly requested Obi to promote his forthcoming album.
“@PeterObi hello Mr Peter Obi. I support you that year. Oya support me now. Oya do video dey talk The Machine is coming. Abeg. Me and you never ever get problem before. Make e no start now.”Moments later, he followed up with a stronger statement, making his frustration even clearer:
“The time wey I support Peter Obi na with sweat and blood. If he cannot give me a ‘common’ tweet, then me and am go fight. I no dey hide my mouth. Make una dey talk una own. The Machine is coming.”
The rap star didn’t hold back, reminding Peter Obi of his unwavering support during the 2023 elections and the public feud with Bola Tinubu. In his 2023 hit “Vex,” he even hoped Obi would “save” him. Odumodublvck also turned down an invite to perform at Tinubu’s inauguration, calling out the lack of research by the organizers.
Continuing to urge Peter Obi for support, he reminded the politician of his previous criticisms of Tinubu.
“@PeterObi I even dissed Tinubu for you. Now because of you, the people are spitting on me and my legacy. Tweet The Machine is coming to rekindle and redeem our friendship, sir. Do not listen to them. Listen to your heart. The Machine is coming,” he stated.
In a subsequent post on X, he stated, “On today’s episode of Wage War – the people of Peter Obi vs the Industry Machine. Go and ask around, I have never lost a war. Peter Obi has lost an election. There is only one winner here. Tell that man to promote my album or else I will cut ties with him with immediate effect.”
As of now, Peter Obi has yet to respond to Odumodublvck’s public request for support on his new album.
