The tragic death of 19-year-old Timilehin Opesusi has left the nation in mourning — and now, her grieving father, Femi Opesusi, is demanding justice.

In an emotional interview with Channels Television, Femi called out the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), insisting the result that allegedly pushed his daughter to suicide was not the real score. According to him, Timilehin, who scored 190 in the 2024 UTME, was shocked and devastated when her 2025 result came back as 146, following widespread technical glitches during the exam.

“Daddy, this is not my result,” she told him repeatedly — words that now haunt him.

Despite his attempts to comfort her, Timilehin ingested rat poison shortly after, and sadly passed away at a hospital. While JAMB later admitted that a “technical error” affected nearly 380,000 students, the board has yet to reach out to the Opesusi family directly. Femi says he isn’t seeking compensation — just the truth: “I want to see my daughter’s actual result. That’s all.”

This tragedy has ignited nationwide outrage, with lawmakers and citizens demanding accountability. Many are calling for the resignation of JAMB Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, labeling the scandal a “national shame.”
