Afrobeats superstar Davido is giving flowers to his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, for what he calls exceptional governance in Osun State. The music icon didn’t hold back as he showered praise on the state leader during a recent appearance on the popular show Culture Knock Out (C.K.O), hosted by Chris and Baloo.
According to Davido, Governor Adeleke has proven to be the most effective and impactful leader Osun has ever seen. He acknowledged the skepticism that surrounded his uncle’s political journey, largely because of his love for dancing and entertainment. But the “Unavailable” hitmaker said the doubters have now gone silent, thanks to Adeleke’s powerful results in office.
Davido proudly highlighted the governor’s achievements in development, governance, and connecting with the people. He added that his uncle’s vibrant personality hasn’t hindered his performance—instead, it’s made him even more relatable to the masses.
He said, “My uncle, the Dancing Governor is good vibes. He has an amazing story, he is the last born of my dad’s family. They [Osun people] never believed that he would become a governor.
“He is a real example of, ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’; just because somebody likes to dance and have a good time, it doesn’t mean when it is time to work, he won’t. Now, he’s been the best Governor that they’ve ever had.”
