Premier League giants Liverpool FC have honoured the late Diogo Jota in a deeply emotional way that has moved fans to tears. The club has created a permanent section on their official website dedicated to the beloved forward, who tragically passed away in a car crash alongside his brother Andre Silva in northern Spain on July 3.
Jota, who had recently tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart, will now live forever in Anfield’s heart as his No. 20 shirt has been retired across all levels of the club.
The Reds’ new manager, Arne Slot, expressed that retiring Jota’s jersey was “the least the club could do.” He added, “We will always carry him with us in our thoughts and hearts.”

Liverpool’s tribute goes beyond the pitch — a mural of Jota, created by artist John Culshaw, now stands proudly near Anfield, showing the star smiling and forming a heart with his hands.

This touching tribute also includes a “Forever” tag on the club’s first-team squad page, where Jota’s profile now stands alone — a digital monument to a life that touched millions.
