A late-night fire on Friday wreaked havoc at the Music House in Ibadan, the iconic business complex owned by gospel star Yinka Ayefele. The massive building, home to Merry Makers’ Band, Tiwantiwa Radio, Blast FM, and the popular Fresh FM, was thrown into confusion around 7:30 pm as the blaze disrupted live broadcasts and business activities.
Eyewitness Samuel Ibikunle, who first raised the alarm, made a desperate call for urgent help from the Fire Service. The Oyo State Fire Service boss, Rev. Akinyemi Akinyinka, later confirmed that firefighters were already on the ground battling the flames.
As at press time, the actual cause of the fire and the full extent of damage remain unclear, but panic and concern continue to spread among fans and residents.
