Outspoken rapper and activist Falz is once again making headlines this time for calling out Nigeria’s lack of progress despite being in 2025. In a candid interview with HipTV, the music star expressed deep frustration over the country still grappling with basic infrastructure problems, especially the erratic power supply.

“In 2025, we’re still shouting Up NEPA — it’s ridiculous,” he said, highlighting the nation’s chronic electricity issues. He also criticized Nigeria’s poor drainage system, saying, “Any small rain and we’re practically swimming. It’s shameful.”

Falz didn’t stop there — he shared raw truths about the entertainment industry, describing it as “mad” and filled with people battling untreated mental health struggles. He admitted everyone has a bit of madness, but the degree differs.

In a vulnerable moment, the rapper recounted a personal heartbreak, revealing how a romantic dinner with flowers ended with rejection. “I liked her a lot… I thought we were on the same page,” he said.

Falz also addressed the pressures of carrying a famous surname. “People used to say I blew because of my dad. But now, when they see him, they call him Falz’s dad,” he said proudly.
