Gospel artist Ebuka Songs has finally spoken about his departure from Moses Bliss’ record label, Spotlite Nation. Although he initially signed a three-year contract, he left after just 11 months.

In December 2024, Moses Bliss addressed the situation, stating that Ebuka had chosen to pursue an independent music career.
However, in a recent interview on the Open Up podcast, Ebuka explained that his decision was driven by his desire to focus more on his ministry. He emphasized that his calling led him to take this path for spiritual and personal growth.

“I will always be grateful for Moses Bliss’ role in my life because, at that time, I had the anointing and gift, but I didn’t know how to go about it professionally.

“I am grateful for the journey that I have been through, but at this point, the next level is to focus on my ministry. And we are in a good space.”

Ebuka explained that he chose to remain silent about his departure to avoid unnecessary speculation and potential misunderstandings surrounding his decision.

“The reason why I kept quiet about my exit or didn’t say anything since that time is because I didn’t want it to generate more conversations. We all get to the point where we just want to focus on the next phase of our lives, and for me, that is the assignment of God upon my life,” he added.

Ebuka assured fans that despite leaving the label, there is no bad blood between him and his former team as he continues his ministry.
