A shocking video is currently trending online, showing the moment Nollywood veteran actor Femi Branch was allegedly prevented from leaving a movie set after reportedly slapping a crew member during a heated altercation.
The incident allegedly occurred on Day 8 of a 9-day shoot, between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM, during a tense camera setup involving two units. While the Assistant Director (AD) and Director of Photography (DP) were still adjusting the second camera, the Director began filming with the first camera without proper communication.
According to the AD, things escalated when he questioned what was being filmed without key crew members in position. Femi Branch allegedly responded with verbal insults and, during the confrontation, reportedly slapped the AD after a fierce exchange.
The entire crew was left stunned, and filming was temporarily halted. When the production moved to its final location at Lekki Conservation Centre, things took another dramatic turn — the crew united in protest and demanded an apology from the actor. When Branch refused and attempted to leave, the team reportedly locked the gate to stop him.
As of now, neither Femi Branch nor the production team has released an official statement, but social media is buzzing with mixed reactions.
