DJ Cuppy was deeply moved as Tochi, the daughter of late banker Herbert Wigwe, reflected on life without her parents and brother following their tragic passing.
Herbert Wigwe, former CEO of Access Bank, died in a helicopter crash on February 9, 2024, in California, alongside his wife Chizoba, son Chizi, and others.
On their first memorial, Tochi shared an emotional tribute on Instagram, expressing her journey of grief, ranging from happiness to sorrow, and her efforts to rebuild strength while supporting her younger siblings.
Prominent leaders, including President Tinubu and Emmanuel Macron, attended the memorial.
In her words;” It has been a year since I lost the three greatest pillars in my life – my father, Herbert Wigwe; my mother, Doreen Wigwe; and my brother, Chizi Wigwe. In the last 12 months, I’ve lived through a lifetime of emotions: laughter, tears, joy, anger, and sadness. But most of all, I’ve grappled with the challenge of finding my way back to happiness, rediscovering who I am, and embracing the strength I need to become a solid foundation for my younger siblings.
The coffee table tribute books are curated reflections, which bring to life personal memories. They tangibly honor my family and the profound impact they had on all of us.”
