It’s a birthday unlike any other for hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who celebrated his 56th birthday behind bars — trading champagne and luxury for bran flakes and chickpea burgers. The once-celebrated music icon marked his big day on Tuesday, November 5, inside the Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix, New Jersey, following his four-year prison sentence for two counts of transporting individuals for illegal activities.
According to People Magazine, the Bad Boy Records founder’s birthday menu was far from glamorous. Diddy kicked off his morning at 6:30 a.m. with a simple prison breakfast of fruit, bran flakes or whole wheat bread, jelly, margarine, and skim milk — a stark contrast to his past million-dollar birthday brunches.
For lunch, inmates had a choice between chicken parmesan or a chickpea burger, paired with pasta in marinara sauce, spinach, and garlic bread. Later in the evening, dinner featured cheese pizza or navy beans, alongside Italian pasta salad, green beans, and a garden salad.
Once known for his flashy parties, private jets, and celebrity friends, Diddy’s latest celebration paints a much grimmer picture — a birthday spent in reflection rather than luxury.
