Davido reveals a new release date for his highly anticipated album ‘5ive’

Davido has officially delayed the release of his highly anticipated fifth studio album by one month. Originally scheduled for March 15, 2025, the album will now drop on April 18.

The singer did not provide a reason for the change, despite the initial release date being just 20 days away. However, fans remain eager for the project’s arrival.

The year has been eventful for Davido, who secured his fifth Grammy nomination at the 67th Grammy Awards for Best African Song Performance with his feature on Chris Brown’s ‘Sensational.’ He has also been nominated in five categories, including Artist of the Year, at the upcoming 17th Headies.

In preparation for the album, Davido has already released two singles: ‘Awuke,’ featuring Jamaican Dancehall star YG Marley, and ‘Funds,’ featuring Chike and OdumoduBlvck. Describing his upcoming project on social media, the award-winning singer referred to it as deeply personal.

Davido’s upcoming album, “5ive”, is expected to feature a collaboration with Nigerian superstar Omah Lay, who described their song as a perfect partnership.

Additionally, Adekunle Gold has hinted at a possible appearance on the album. Davido and his fans anticipate that “5ive” will build on the success of his record-breaking fourth album, “Timeless”.
