British-Nigerian actor Damson Idris is trending for all the right reasons after he boldly spoke out against the rising wave of hate directed at Black women especially from some older Black men.
In a heartfelt social media post, the “Snowfall” star didn’t hold back, calling out the unnecessary and unprovoked negativity targeting Black women, including young female stars simply trying to shine in their careers.
Damson pointed out how some men seem driven by an unhealthy urge to “humble” successful Black women, thinking it somehow boosts their own masculinity. He made it clear that this behavior is not only harmful but also unmanly in the eyes of Black women.
With a powerful closing message, Damson urged, “A new year is approaching. Grow up.” His words have sparked important conversations online, reminding everyone to uplift rather than tear down.
