Popular Nigerian comedian Sabinus, famously known as Mr. Funny, has publicly expressed his frustration after numerous fans tagged him in an online challenge demanding N1 million. Taking to social media, the skit maker addressed the trend where fans constantly tag celebrities hoping for cash giveaways.

Sabinus made it clear he’s not the source of such financial aid, urging followers to stop expecting money from him. He emphasized that his comedy is meant to entertain, not bankroll fans’ demands.

In a witty but firm message, he advised fans to tag wealthy personalities like Obi Cubana and Cubana Chief Priest instead if they’re looking for monetary gifts.

The comedian’s candid response has sparked conversations about unrealistic fan expectations and the pressures celebrities face online.

He said in part …

“I no really understand o, ‘tag somebody to give you N1M’ una go dey tag me, me Sabinus, like una dey forget? Why so quick. No be una dey here I dey post skit, e get anyone wey I succeed for the skit? All of them no be cry dey end am?”
