Controversial artist Portable reacted to the 67th Grammy Awards results, where Tems won Best African Music Performance, dedicating the win to her mother.
Portable criticized Nigerian artists for failing to secure wins, pointing out that a female artist outshone them. He mocked Asake’s military-style outfit at the event, suggesting the occasion was for celebrating success, not conflict.
Declaring himself a hitmaker, Portable confidently claimed any artist collaborating with him would win a Grammy.
He urged Naira Marley, Skepta, and Olamide to submit their tracks, including ‘Tony Montana’ and ‘Zazu,’ for Grammy consideration.
He partly said, “Olamide picked me and I came out from nowhere, nobody rise me, God is my pioneer, I’m telling if not that you neglected me I would have won Grammy, feature me if you want to collect Grammy, drop verse for me I get chorus, ordinary woman collected the Grammy from you people.”
Captioning the video, he wrote, “Failure is not an option for me I don’t have backup I am the backup that’s why am working hard I believe in my phone and sub any disappointment is a blessing”
