Nigerian comedian Carter Efe has made history on Twitch, setting a new record for an African streamer by rapidly reaching 10,000 subscribers.
In an emotional live session, his channel drew an astounding 7,000 viewers in less than a minute, leaving Carter Efe visibly moved as he reflected on his journey. He admitted that while his comedy skits were often overlooked by Nigerians, his streaming efforts are now receiving massive recognition and support.
The surge in popularity was largely fueled by a special invitation from music superstar Davido for a joint stream. Davido even joked about needing a “face shield” for their upcoming collaboration, sparking excitement among fans. However, the session wasn’t entirely smooth, as Carter Efe expressed frustration over Wizkid’s lack of support. Additionally, a video call with footballer Victor Boniface became tense due to access complaints.
Despite the minor setbacks, fans are celebrating Carter Efe’s remarkable achievements on Twitch, cementing his place as a rising star in the streaming world.
