Hollywood actor Brad Pitt has finally broken his silence following the official end of his long-standing divorce from Angelina Jolie, closing the chapter on one of the most talked-about splits in entertainment history. In a candid interview with GQ, Pitt downplayed the emotional weight of the final settlement, saying, “No, I don’t think it was that major of a thing… just something coming to fruition. Legally.”

The legal process concluded in December 2024, over eight years after Jolie first filed for divorce in 2016. Although the pair were declared legally single in 2019, the custody battles and financial issues dragged on until late 2024. Jolie’s lawyer noted that she was “exhausted” but relieved that one phase of the ongoing ordeal had ended. Notably, Jolie permanently waived her right to spousal support.

Despite the legal resolution, Pitt’s emotional estrangement from his children — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne — remains deeply painful. Several of the kids have distanced themselves from him completely, with Shiloh even legally dropping his last name, a move that reportedly devastated him.

The tension dates back to a 2016 incident aboard a private jet, where Pitt was accused of abusive behavior. Pax previously labeled his father a “world-class a–hole,” claiming the younger siblings were fearful of him. Sources close to the family say reconciliation remains a distant dream.
