This comes after a viral interview with Asake’s aunt, who claimed that the singer’s mother left his biological father and later married Musibau Alani—who had even attended Asake’s naming ceremony.
A recently surfaced video shows Musibau Alani discussing the importance of good conduct during fasting. However, instead of engaging with his message, many users filled the comments with harsh remarks, calling him names like “wife snatcher,” “Asake’s stepfather,” and “jazz man.” Some criticized his alleged role in Asake’s family situation, while others questioned his involvement with the singer’s mother.
Meanwhile, individuals familiar with Asake’s past have urged him to reconcile with his father, who is reportedly unwell. Amid the backlash, Asake has since expressed his commitment to supporting both his father and his daughter.
