A bold Nigerian medical doctor has set social media on fire after issuing a daring challenge to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In a viral post making the rounds, the doctor pledged to donate ₦1 million to the EFCC if they can arrest or summon ex-militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo, within seven days.
But there’s a catch — the doctor insists Tompolo must be treated like every other suspect: a mugshot with his charges boldly displayed around his neck.
The doctor urged Nigerians to tag EFCC relentlessly and hold them accountable, questioning why some high-profile figures seem “untouchable” in anti-corruption investigations. The post has since gone viral, igniting conversations around selective justice, institutional fear, and political bias.
“I will personally donate 1 million naira to @officialEFCC if they successfully arrest or invite Tompolo to their office within the next 7 days and they hang his charges on his neck in a mugshot photo – as they treat for everybody else.
Please tag EFCC to take this open challenge.” He wrote
