The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has taken a bold step by suspending popular Nollywood actress Shirley Igwe indefinitely following shocking reports that she physically assaulted a crew member on a movie set!
According to reports by TVC, Igwe allegedly slapped a member of the Creative Designers Guild of Nigeria (CDGN) during a film shoot, sparking major outrage within the industry. The AGN wasted no time and has now issued a statement suspending her pending the outcome of a full investigation.
Citing “acts of violence and indiscipline capable of bringing the acting profession into disrepute,” the Guild also instructed all members to shun any production involving the actress until further notice.
This development has stirred serious conversation among Nollywood fans and insiders, with many calling for more accountability on and off set.
