The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has fiercely responded to allegations of plotting a government overthrow, declaring that any move to unseat President Bola Tinubu will be done through democratic means—not force.
In a strong statement issued by Bolaji Abdullahi, the party’s Interim National Publicity Secretary, the ADC slammed recent claims by Tinubu’s spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, who accused opposition parties of conspiring to topple the current administration.
Abdullahi labeled Onanuga’s remarks as “reckless, baseless, and dangerous,” accusing the presidency of trying to set the stage for a crackdown on opposition voices.
“The ADC has no interest in undermining Nigeria’s democracy. We are here to provide an alternative to the incompetence Nigerians are currently enduring. Our weapons are not bullets, but ballots,” Abdullahi stated.
He assured Nigerians that when 2027 arrives, the party will offer clear, people-focused solutions and trust the electorate to make the right choice.
