Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has voiced his opinion that musicians do not offer the same level of support to the Nigerian film industry as actors do for the music sector.
In a recent social media post, he expressed a desire for more collaboration and backing from musicians to help Nollywood thrive.
“I really wish musicians supported Nollywood the way we support their music but that’s a conversation for another day,” he stated on his X account on Sunday.
The Nigerian film and music industries have long been interconnected, with many musicians taking on roles in Nollywood films and several actors pursuing music careers.
Additionally, actresses have frequently appeared as video vixens in music videos, further blending the two entertainment sectors.
Despite this close relationship, Timini Egbuson’s remarks highlight an ongoing conversation about the level of mutual support between the industries.
His comments emphasize the need for more collaboration and backing from musicians to help Nollywood reach greater heights.
